Care & Maintenance
Welcome to our Care and Policies page! Here, you'll find everything you need to know about maintaining the quality of your cutting boards and kitchen utensils. You'll keep them in top condition with our care and maintenance tips. Proper upkeep is essential to prevent warping, splitting, or cupping, ensuring their longevity and reliable performance for years to come.
At-Home Instructions

No Dishwasher
Never place your wooden items in the dishwasher, as the intense heat and moisture can cause warping or splitting. Instead, wipe them clean with a soft rag or quickly wash with warm, soapy water.
Proper Drying
After washing your cutting board, pat it dry thoroughly with a clean towel to remove excess moisture. Always allow it to air dry upright on its edge or end. Drying it flat or putting it away wet can trap moisture on one side, causing it to dry unevenly, which can lead to immediate cupping or warping. For best results, ensure your board is completely dry before storing it on edge or end to preserve its longevity and performance.
Board & Utensil Hydration
Condition your kitchen wood by regularly hydrating it with food-grade substances like mineral oil, beeswax, or butcher block conditioner. Apply a generous coat to the surface every 3-4 weeks, or more often if the board starts to look dry or feel rough. Proper hydration prevents splitting, cracking, and drying. Everyday Use
When using your cutting board, keep in mind the design and materials. Boards with laser engravings can be used for cutting directly on the surface without worry. However, if your board features epoxy resin, avoid cutting on the resin areas as it’s similar to etching into glass. For resin boards, stick to cutting on the wooden sections or the back side. Rest assured, all materials, including epoxy resin, are food-grade and safe for everyday use.
Avoid Heat
Keep your cutting board away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Excessive heat can cause the wood to warp, crack, or dry out, compromising its integrity and lifespan. Protect your board by storing it in a cool, non-sunny area to ensure it stays in top condition.
